About the Journal
Established under the auspices of NDU-K’s Centre for Security and Strategic Studies (CSSS), the National Security journal reflects the university’s mission to advance knowledge in defence and strategy. The journal initiative is aligned to its philosophical ideal to contribute to education and training, research, leadership development, and practice in national security and strategy. The flagship journal is published biannually (two issues per year) and is led by an editorial board of distinguished military officers and civilian scholars (for example, the CSSS Director serves as Chair) as well as an international advisory board of leading scholars in the field. It welcomes high‑quality submissions—including empirical research articles, review essays, and policy analyses—that offer new insights or recommendations in all areas of defense and security. Articles submitted to the journal must be original papers; submitted manuscripts must be original, well‑researched, and rigorous, with realistic policy implications; they should not be under consideration elsewhere.
